Cinnamon Roll Wedding Cake

What happens when you don't like cake? You go with a cinnamon roll wedding cake. My bride had a weak spot for cinnamon rolls and still wanted a beautiful wedding cake. She found some pictures online for me to work from and we came up with this beauty. I love rosettes! This tiered wedding cake is 12", 10", 8" cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting.

Black Utah Utes

We did the same basic design as the red Utah Utes cake on this one, but went with a blackout theme instead. The birthday boy is not a fan of fondant, so this 8" chocolate fudge is frosted in chocolate buttercream with fondant designs.

Red Utah Utes

So I'm from Utah. And there's a bitter college rivalry that goes on in this little state of mine. University of Utah vs. Brigham Young University. Giant brawls have gone down because of this rivalry, families divided, tears shed. You get the idea. This 8" Utes cake is chocolate fudge/strawberry marble with vanilla buttercream and fondant. Go Utes!

40th Birthday Bash

This was a pretty fun cake to design. I had been given a copy of the invitation with teal, orange, purple, and black as the color scheme. Then I got to figure out the rest from there. 10" French vanilla with vanilla buttercream and fondant. 8" chocolate fudge with vanilla buttercream and fondant. 6" French vanilla with vanilla buttercream and fondant.

Minecraft

My mother is seriously the sweetest. I'm trying to get these cakes baked and the power goes out. Of course, it's already late at night and the cakes in the oven are ruined. I have run out of ingredients to even think about starting over, and who knows how long it will be before the power comes back on. So what do I do when my need is dire? Call my mom of course! She comes to my house to pick up my pans, goes to the store to buy more ingredients, and goes home to bake. At midnight. Have I mentioned she's the greatest ever! 10" square french vanilla with vanilla buttercream and fondant. 8" chocolate fudge/strawberry marble with vanilla buttercream and fondant.

Captian America

Another good combination? Boys and super heroes. And they don't get more heroic than Captian America! This tiered cake is an 8" french vanilla/chocolate fudge marble with vanilla buttercream and fondant. 6" carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and fondant.

Safari Smash Cake

These guys were my first attempt at fondant sculptures. I definitely need more practice, but they were so fun to do!
6" french vanilla with vanilla buttercream and fondant.

Polka Dot Smash Cake

I made this for my adorable niece on her first birthday. I love that the fondant looks like it's dripping over the side of the cake! 6" chocolate with vanilla buttercream and fondant.

Thomas the Train

Boys and trains. The two are completely perfect together. My husband still loves his train sets. And Thomas is the best thing in the world to a 3 year old boy! It just logically follows that his birthday cake needs a Thomas! This is a 10" confetti cake with another 10" cut in half and stacked on top. Vanilla buttercream and fondant.

Strawberry and Chocolate Cupcakes

I'm pretty sure no to flavors taste as wonderful together as these.
Chocolate fudge cupcake with strawberry buttercream frosting.

Watermelon Cupcakes

These scream summertime and outdoor barbecue!
They are french vanilla with buttercream and mini chocolate chips.

Zebra Smash Cake

This is the matching smash cake for the zebra birthday cake. An adorable little girl was turning one. And when you turn one, you definitely need your very own cake! 6" french vanilla with vanilla buttercream and fondant.

Zebras and Flowers

This cake was my first big one! It is actually one of two cakes I made for this party. There were quite a few birthdays to be celebrated and a very cute little girl was turning one. And every girly girl needs a zebra print cake with pink flowers! This is a 6", 8", 10" tiered cake. The bottom tier is chocolate fudge with vanilla buttercream and fondant. The middle tier is french vanilla with chocolate pudding filling and vanilla buttercream and fondant. The top tier is french vanilla with vanilla buttercream and fondant.

Race Car Birthday Cake

I love that this little boy's name is Miles and that he wanted a race car birthday cake! I think his momma knew what she was doing when she named him! This one is a carved french vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream frosting and fondant details. Mom had the racecars to add to the cake when the birthday boy blew out his candles.

Shaggy Mum Cupcakes

Mmmm, cupcakes! Chocolate cupcakes with buttercream frosting make life worth living, right?
Add some fun shaggy mums and all is right with the world.

Mint Fondant and Purple Sugar Roses

Can I tell you how in love I am with the colors on this cake? So spring-y and gorgeous! Never mind I was up all night making purple roses for this cake. It's all worth it in the end! This cake was my final project in my fondant class. It is an 8" french vanilla with a raspberry filling. A thin layer of buttercream under a smooth fondant finish.

Bookworms unite!

My dear daughter, bless her heart, is always volunteering me for things. The school librarian was retiring and my daughter's teacher wanted to do something special for her from the class. One of her classmate's mother was taking the same cake class as I was at the time, and the little dears volunteered us to make cake for the occasion. After we had been decorating cakes for about 1 week. Talk about baptism by fire! I made an 8" french vanilla cake with chocolate pudding filling and chocolate buttercream for the librarian to take home to her family and the other mom made a great big sheet cake for the entire class. I'm pretty sure I got the better end of the deal!

Valentine's Day

So let's be serious here. Do you want real roses for Valentine's Day? Or do you want these delicious ribbon roses? Real roses smell pretty, but these taste absolutely delicious! Pair them with a french vanilla and strawberry buttercream and you'll be in love for sure!

Summer Lovin'

Ah summer! This time of year, I'm seriously craving my flip flops! Nothing against winter and hoodies and hot chocolate, but I'm ready for a change in season. This 8" round cake is french vanilla with chocolate pudding filling and chocolate buttercream.
