I was honored to make this cake for my sweet grandmother's 85th birthday. I can't even tell you how much I love this woman and how badly I wanted to make something that would be a lovely tribute to the life she has led. She loves butterflies and pastels. She also loves to quilt. And she has made a quilt for each child and grandchild's wedding. And she has made a quilt for the birth of each baby. I and my 4 girls have been grateful recipients of her labor of love. We also put together a book for her birthday that has pictures of each quilt and it's happy owner. Of course, she cried! She is such an amazing woman and I hope to still have such a twinkle in my eye when I'm 85. 8" chocolate fudge with vanilla buttercream and fondant, 6" lemon with raspberry filling, vanilla buttercream, and fondant.

Chevron Soccer Cake
My cousin is a bit of a soccer fanatic. And for good reason, too! The girl can rock that soccer ball! So for her birthday, we incorporated her love for soccer with her favorite colors! I love the result! It turned out so cute! 8" French vanilla cake with raspberry filling, vanilla buttercream and fondant, 6" hemisphere French vanilla with vanilla buttercream and fondant.

Stargazer Lily Rustic Wedding Cake
I'll apologize for these pictures now. They were taken in the dark with a flash. I had to do some editing to try and reduce the glare, but it's still pretty bad! This is a 9" and 6" square strawberry/lemon marble cake with vanilla buttercream and fresh stargazer lilies.

Polka Dots and Chevrons
A few months ago, I donated a cake to a fundraiser yard sale event. This is the cake I donated! It's a cute little birthday cake for twin girls. One's favorite color is pink, the other's is purple. I was just glad their favorite colors go together well! 8" French vanilla with vanilla buttercream and fondant, and 6" chocolate fudge with vanilla buttercream and fondant.

Farm cake
My nephew loves his Little People farm set, and he loves animals. So we decided his birthday cake should be based around that. My sister sneakily borrowed his beloved toys so we could put them in a farm! I absolutely love how this cake turned out! 8" and 6" chocolate fudge with raspberry filling, vanilla buttercream, and fondant. The barn is made from fondant.
Darth Vader
So when I first got a request for this cake, I glanced at it and thought 'That looks simple enough'. As a week or so went by and I started to study it a little closer, there were a couple elements I became concerned about. And I started to wonder why I had taken the order. Concern #1: the painting on the tiers is air brushed, and I do not own an air brush. Concern #2: I had never sculpted a human figure before. Not only have I not sculpted one before, but I was terrified to even try sculpting one. But nothing ventured, nothing gained! So I did some creative thinking and I watched some YouTube videos and I gave it my best shot. I have to say, I am proud of how Vader turned out. He is my sturdiest sculpture to date, and I may not be quite so terrified of sculpting anymore. He took me about 6 hours, weighed almost 9 ounces, and stood about 6 inches tall. The cake is 10" chocolate fudge with raspberry filling, vanilla buttercream, and fondant. 8" red velvet with mexican vanilla buttercream and fondant.

Star Wars cake
The birthday boy who wanted this cake postponed his birthday party almost an entire month so I could make his cake for him. He and his mother were super patient with me while I was off vacationing with the family. But eventually we got it done! My daughter was a little freaked out by the Yoda feet. She thought they were creepy haha! 10", 8", and 6" hemisphere confetti cake with vanilla pudding filling, vanilla buttercream, and fondant.
Gerbers and Chevrons
This cake was for my sister's birthday, and I pretty much had free reign on the design. I knew she loved purple and I knew she loved gerber daisies. So I did some Pinterest searching and drew up a design from there! This cake turned out so cute! This 8" and 6" tiered cake is strawberry with vanilla buttercream and fondant.

Black Pearl Leopard Print
My niece and my daughter; two peas in a pod! It makes sense, since their birthdays are only 3 weeks apart. My niece wanted a cake similar to my daughter's, but different. So this is what we came up with. I love the light pink and black ruffles together! Girly cakes are so much fun! This is a 6" and 8" tiered cake. Confetti cake with vanilla buttercream and fondant.

High Heel Cheetah Print
This is my new favorite cake I've ever done! This was for my 2nd daughter's birthday. I've been dying to try out a few new techniques I've seen out there. So I coerced her into this cake. Honestly, she is my most girly girl, so once I said pink and high heels and ruffles and cheetah print, she was giddy! The bottom tier is 8" chocolate fudge with vanilla buttercream and ombre fondant ruffles. The top tier is 6" yellow cake with chocolate pudding filling, vanilla buttercream, and hand painted cheetah print fondant. The high heel shoe is sugar paste.

Silly boys! Soccer is for girls!
Sporty girls are so fun! I have one of my own and she just brings a little variety to the constant dress up and nail painting and drama. Well, she brings plenty of her own drama. ;) This cake was for a spunky soccer loving girl who needed some pink zebra stripes thrown in there for good measure. It's an 8' French vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream and fondant. The soccer ball is a 6" chocolate hemisphere with vanilla buttercream and fondant.

BYU Graduation Cake
This cake was so fun! And I loved making it for an old friend! Her mother-in-law had been working so hard on her degree. She finally finished, but her and her husband got a mission call. And they had to report to the MTC before she could walk. So her family decided to throw her a graduation party and I had the privilege of making the cake. The bottom tier is a 12" French vanilla/chocolate fudge marble with chocolate buttercream filling, vanilla buttercream and fondant. The top tier is a 8" French vanilla/chocolate fudge marble with chocolate buttercream and fondant.
Braves Birthday
My weekend was packed full of baseball! Actually my whole spring has been packed with it. My two oldest daughters have been in rec softball, so it's been game time every night of the week. So when I got a request for a Braves cake, I already had this ball on the brain. This is 8' and 6" chocolate fudge with vanilla buttercream and fondant.

I'd been planning and prepping for this wedding for quite a while. And stressing over it, I might add. I was thrilled with the end results. And this bride's venue just brought everything together beautifully! Absolutely perfect! The cake is 10" & 8" triple stacked lemon cake with raspberry filling and vanilla buttercream and fresh flowers. 5 dozen cupcakes are French vanilla with vanilla buttercream (coral colored), and 5 dozen cupcakes are lemon with raspberry filling and vanilla buttercream (lemon colored).
